How to Apply?
Eligibility Requirements:
Before applying, ensure you meet the following criteria:
- Residency: You must have continuously resided in a home zoned for Districts 50, 51, or 52 since the beginning of 9th grade, with uninterrupted school enrollment and residency.
- FAFSA Completion: You must complete the FAFSA (studentaid.gov).
- Scholarship Eligibility: You must qualify for the LIFE or Palmetto Fellows Scholarship.
- Eligible Major: You must be enrolled in an eligible major. Click here for a list of eligible majors.
- Credit Hours: You must have completed at least 60 credit hours in the approved major by the end of the academic year.
Documents Required Before Applying:
- Academic Progress Plan: Complete the Academic Progress Plan with your academic advisor at your university. (Download -> 2025-2026 Academic Progress Plan)
- SAI Score: Take a screenshot of your current year’s Student Aid Index (SAI) score.
How to Apply:
- Access Your SAI Score:
- Log in to your FAFSA account at studentaid.gov.
- Locate your Student Aid Index (SAI) on your FAFSA Submission Summary by following these steps:
- Log in using your username and password.
- Select your processed FAFSA submission.
- Click View FAFSA Submission Summary.
- Navigate to the Eligibility Overview tab.
- Take a screenshot of your SAI score and save it as a picture.
- Download the Academic Progress Plan:
- Access and download the 2025-2026 Academic Progress Plan
- Complete the Academic Progress Plan:
- Schedule a meeting with your university advisor to review, complete, and obtain their signature on the Academic Progress Plan.
- Submit Your Application:
- Once your Academic Progress Plan is signed, you’re ready to complete the application. Click here to apply.
