The fall semester is off to an exciting start, and it’s all thanks to your generosity. Your support of The Greenwood Promise is not just funding education—it’s transforming lives and strengthening our community.
This year, over 50 students are pursuing bachelor’s degrees through our scholarship pathway. Many are enrolled at Lander University in high-demand fields such as nursing, education, accounting, business, cybersecurity, IT, biology, and criminology. Others are studying engineering at Clemson and USC, preparing to become the innovators of tomorrow.
Just last week, we met with some of the scholarship recipients at Lander. New this year, we’ve partnered with Workforce & Career Development, along with Alumni Affairs to ensure students have the tools and connections they need to thrive. Greenwood Promise students are the first to benefit from a new mentoring program that pairs them with Lander alumni, if they are interested—creating a powerful network of support that lasts beyond graduation.
We’re also thrilled to launch the Next Step Scholarship at Piedmont Technical College. This pilot program provides $250 per semester to new high school graduates enrolled full-time, helping cover essentials like books, supplies, food, and transportation—things tuition alone doesn’t cover. It’s a small amount but something we hope will remove additional, unexpected road blocks.
The Greenwood Promise continues to connect students to work-based learning, part-time jobs, career exploration, and job placement support—ensuring they’re not just earning degrees, but building futures.
We’re proud to share that the summer graduates from Piedmont Technical college are working at Self Regional Hospital, Greenwood Vet Hospital, Boys & Girls Club, Carolina Community Pharmacy, and Colgate.
Your donation is more than a gift—it’s a launchpad. You’re helping students take their first steps toward meaningful careers, financial independence, and lifelong success.
Thank you for believing in them. Thank you for investing in Greenwood’s future.
